As a major PROponent of real-name-only comments, I found this an interesting read. I hate any idea of legislating use of real names, but I find that each individual paper, site, station, or whatever should make a conscious decision one way or the other and explain themselves. It allows us—the consumers of their product—a way to further establish the credibility of what we are reading...

Near the end, you get an interesting glimpse at one reason she may have changed her attitude toward locals. However, the general behavior of Palin and her crowd shouldn’t be excused. She’s certainly not who she says she is, and no matter who else is doing that, it’s not right and we shouldn’t fall for it.
