After reading the motion you will note that neither the meth nor the steroid or amphetamine tests were confirmed despite media statements to the contrary by the Executive Director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC). The meth allegation was subsequently dropped by the NSAC because the 2 or 3 negative tests outweighed the one positive test. Nevertheless, that still leaves Gilbert with a few more substances to deal with…and you are justified to mention those – even the steroid and amphetamine because those allegations have not been dropped…even though there are conflicting lab results according to the motion.
Anyway – my intention here is only to clarify the record for you and provide the link to the Motion so you can get the real FACTS about the case. The NSAC’s response should be equally informative when it comes out in a couple days. After reading the documents I hope you will consider revising your statement about the meth to be factual – but I certainly don’t expect you to do so because this is America and it is your blog page to do with what you like.
